Unmodarate
I removed the pre-moderation for comments. I almost never moderate out a comment anyway and in the past the spam has not been that bad either. Frankly speaking, the way I like it for myself and in general is the non-moderate way so I'll try to see how it works.

No More Daily

On Hold
I am currently applying for a new job and at the same time moving house and country, so you can imagine I am very busy and unable to update this blog or even follow the news. I will resume this blog on a daily basis as soon as my situation gets stabilized again. Thanks.

Many Entries
Yesterday I was lucky enough to have only one blog entry. Today there will be a deluge of them :-( Not that there are many news. On the contrary it's rather quiet on the news front, but I went through my daily reading routine and just marked plenty for comments. Comments will therefore be very short for most of them.

Other News Redux
My idea to group all the news I did not have time to comment did not work so well.
For one thing, it defeats the purpose I started this blog in the first place: to be able to assign each news to a category. For another thing, it just takes about as much time to write a single paragraph in a post as it does for grouped posts. And a third reason is that sometimes I write about something I don't think is particularly important and it turns out to be something popular (or reversely).
Thus I have now reverted to "spamming" my own blog... I try to stick to the initial purpose of this blog, which was mostly to be able to trace back news for myself, and possibly comments them along the way. That some people have gotten interested in my selection of news and my comments, and that it also has become a way of interacting with others, should not really mean I should depart from that initial purpose. I guess people can just skip whatever title they are not interested in.
Still trying to find my way through this new media...

Starting Other News
Those last days I only commented about a couple of news only, because I simply don't have the time to follow all of them as I used to, as I now am engaged in other projects.
I will try to keep on commenting on the main news, and for the other ones that may be newsworthy, I'll just group them under the banner of "Other News" for that day, with just a single paragraph comment or quote. I may try to back track in this for the recent days.
The first example of such is below.

Moderation Glitch
I received a whole bunch of spam this morning and this prompted me to go to the moderation page, and there I saw that there were about a dozen comments awaiting moderation for quite some time and about which I had not received a copy in my email.
Normally I moderate from my Google mail only, because I receive the request there and can accept or reject it from there. I don't know why I did not receive a copy for those that where awaiting there on the moderation page, whether this was a glitch in Google or whether the comments were eaten by the spam filter.
My apologies for this. From now on I will check that page every day in addition to what I receive on my mail box.
I am also considering lifting the moderation all together as the spam and off-topic problem has not been too bad since I started. I just need to set aside some time to think about how to proceed and whether or not I really want to switch to that mode (probably yes).
Sorry again. I will email those I can identify but can do nothing for those who are anonymous other than just posting this.

On Hold
I had some problems with my laptop yesterday. I just "recovered" from this terrible cultic experience ;-) but it will take me a while to get up to speed again so no news or answers to comments for a while. Thanks.

Changing Title
I renamed my blog from "Another Look at Scientology 2" to "Another Look at Scientology" because I now made a post about "Scientology 1 and Scientology 2" and thus the title would lean to confusion.
The historical reason for the title was that I already had a blog named "Another Look at Scientology" but which I wanted to keep for important news only, whereas on the "Scientology 2" one I would just post my day-to-day ramblings.
In practice, though, that does not work so well so I will transfer the posts from my old blog to this one and get rid of it.
The URL will stay as it is, though, because I can't change that. Though I own the one without the "2" too, it would be too much of a burden to transfer everything to the old blog, just to align the URL address with the title. It's not because it's an "Uniform Resource Locator" that it really needs to be uniform. It only is an address after all, i.e. a series of meaningless series of electrical impulses with the sole purpose of locating where in the World Wide Web is that particular blather.

Going Public
Most of the entries in this blog, except for the last couple of days, have been back-tracked transcriptions from my news page. Now that this process is completed, I opened it up to search engines and will update it live on a regular basis, hopefully daily.

Bye for Now
I won't be able to update these news or the web site for a while.
(While this is what I posted on March 22, I did update the news page upon my return on May 23. Therefore, the news roll continues, albeit on a slower rhythm until May 23.)

Introduction
On February 29, 2008, I started to keep a news page with various notes I found useful. From occasional, this news page became daily, and eventually ended up containing several entries for a single day.
At this stage I would like to transfer his news page on to a blog in order to be able to keep an automatic index by category. It may be useful for other things too.
This blog gather for all news as opposed to important news, posted on my other blog.
First I would like to catch up with the news initially posted on my news page. I would like to transfer them here so they can be indexed by category.
