Introduction

On February 29, 2008, I started to keep a news page with various notes I found useful. From occasional, this news page became daily, and eventually ended up containing several entries for a single day.

At this stage I would like to transfer his news page on to a blog in order to be able to keep an automatic index by category. It may be useful for other things too.

This blog gather for all news as opposed to important news, posted on my other blog.

First I would like to catch up with the news initially posted on my news page. I would like to transfer them here so they can be indexed by category.

Hi Bernie,

I just found your blog. However I found your website back in 2007 (January, I think) when I googled "anti-cult cults," after I'd experience imo cultic abuse on a ex-cult 'recovery' site.

It was a great help; especially the mirror-thinking page and a statement about your views are not neutral, but rather independent. I liked that. I also read your story.

Thanks!

Thanks a lot Carol! I don't really have time to follow things anymore and even update a lot this blog (or read blogs for that matter) but it's good that the stuff that is out there can still help people and that's very rewarding.

I like your choice of favorite pages of mine - I really should put these more prominently on the front page, whenever I can get back to this work and of course mails such as yours encourage me to do so.

I had a quick look at your blog and page and it really seems excellent. I am going to blog about it right away :-)

Thanks again and all the best!

Thank you Bernie!

Funny, I just blogged a snippet about this blog.

I struggle with how to relay some of my experiences that happened at the anti-cult forum where I was involved. Reading here (as well as other places) today gave me the impetus to (hopefully) somewhat concisely convey the tip of the iceberg.

btw: The reason I chose an anti-cult counselor? It was to work through what I had experienced at the anti-cult site! It was! Of course the therapy also helped me in other areas. Not saying everyone needs that, but it helped me. I'd also been in counseling previously, before exiting the cult.

Anyhoo, I hear ya' on having limited time and energy to follow all this stuff. Yay for google search engines! :-)

Cheers!

Thanks :)I also had the pleasure to discover the site of Lema Nal, and the anti-cult controversy forum was started by Monica Pignotti with whom we had a mutual strong convergence of view lately. It's all a fascinating subject, especially how the cultic frameset can get hold anywhere, including among people who think they are free from it and are supposedly "fighting cults". It all bowls down into becoming more aware - the ultimate route to spirituality :) Simplest route and yet most difficult one in its simplicity...
