Imaginary Friends

It's true, I believe. Sometimes children have "imaginary" friends that in fact are real but they stop seeing them after adults put them down for it.

SoMa Scientology Mission: Scientology 8-8008:
"I started crying (in a good way) when he said that our imaginations as a child are real, it's our own universe. And how we sink into agreement with the physical universe due to people invalidating our views and imagination. I remember sitting on the swings when I was five and having a conversation with two people that my older babysitter couldn't see. She invalidated me and got mad because I was giving them more attention then her. I had a really magical life up until that point."

As a child I had a very vivid imagination. Some people got on my case for this and I hated them. I have since forgiven them- mostly. On a related note, I am today an ex-Scientologist and have used my imagination to create adult fanfiction featuring the church's celebrity adherents. Some people have enjoyed these tales. To read them, visit my link or google "AchtungNight" on the web. Note: These stories are not for the close-minded or those under age 18. You can send me feedback if you like, but I respect both sides of the Scientology issue and hope you will do the same. Bernie, I thank you for your aid in my developing my stance.

Hey DRE - thanks! Am always happy to hear of someone who has been helped by my writing, even if in a small way. Your personal story, as I found on ESK, looks quite fascinating and I should make time to read it through as it is rather long. I had a look at your fanfictions too and they look fun to read as well. Thanks for dropping by and informing us about yet another fascinating development along the Scientology issue - will it ever end? ;-)

By the way I just saw GIA yesterday, with Angelina Jolie. Sad story but sounds like a true life one. I like Angelina but I would not rate her choice of scripts very high. Most of her films I did not like and some I completely forgot about though I know by the title that I saw them. She'll ever be Lara Croft for me. She was stunning in that one.
