Check the following statements Tory Christman made to the press recently, and compare them with the full story based on her 2003 affidavit.
This is a typical example on how anti-Scientologists will stretch the truth (in this case blatantly lying) to make it fit with their agenda.

Tory Christman, who reached the upper echelons of the church, claims she was told to stop taking the drugs by an unqualified medical official, which led to her seizures returning and to her knocking her teeth out in the bath.
“It was a nightmare,” said Christman.
“I had grand mal seizures, I fell in the bathtub just like Jett did, and knocked out my front teeth. It was really bad. I was losing my memory.”
“My mother saved my life and realised it was really kooky and said either you get back on your medicine today or I’m going come out there and Scientology will never forget me.”

You are totally right. The only thing most of these "professional anti-Scientologists" accomplish is to muddy the water with inaccurate rantings about Scientology. This one is a perfect example. In her affidavit, she even includes "I did up through OT 3 and I will say I had huge wins on this level." Of course she had huge wins. The level is incredible and is in no way a scam.
So would you say that it wasn't the fault of the church, when Tory was told to stop taking medication against seizures?
I would agree that the church would be responsible in this case, especially when they kicked her out of staff with a huge freeloader bill, and especially if it would have stayed that way, but what I am saying is that it is deceptive for Tory to present part of the story as if it was the whole story.
Anybody listening to her video and to what was printed in the press would think that what she describes is the standard treatment of epileptics in the CoS, whereas that particular decision, and others later on, were corrected, and she spent 30 years in Scientology while being allowed to take her drugs.
I would have no problem with her if she would put her story in the proper context, which is obviously not what she is doing.
The main question here is whether the CoS, as a policy, prevents people from taking their anti-seizure medication or not. It seems quite obvious to me that they do not prevent such.
We don't just have the testimony of Tory in this respect, and the official statement of Tommy Davis. We have other testimonies to that effect as well, the latest one being this one.
I am not saying, though, that it may not have happened in the past by over-zealous and unqualified staff, or that it may not still be happening today. If that's the point Tory is trying to make, then I would agree. But if you are going to make that point, you will have to make sure to put it in the proper context. Anything else is one of the worst form of deception and lying I ever saw. Basically accusing people of murder, and even of mass murder as she is basically doing, is a serious accusation. You can't just be tossing these around without properly backing it up and putting whatever you want to say in this respect in context.
Too bad for her she made that affidavit six years ago, because without it we wouldn't even know that she is lying. And this affidavit is not going to go away any time soon, nor what she did in the wake of the Jett Travolta tragedy.
